I'm Rhonda Showers and I am proud to serve as a parent of a child diagnosed with a mental health condition. I also represent the Mental Health Network of Kankakee County, which I founded to build relationships among providers and the broader community, to strengthen our county's response to the mental health challenges we face.

I hold a BA in Ministry and serve as the Community Outreach Pastor at Peoples Church in Bourbonnais. Prior to this, I worked several years as an emergency services case worker at Catholic Charities.

My husband and I reside in Bourbonnais with our three amazing teenagers. I love writing, reading and am obsessed with houseplants. I run on prayer and coffee and the love of my family and friends.
